TEi Awarded Major Contract to Supply Next-Generation Moisture Separator Reheaters for PSEG’s Salem Generating Station
La Palma, CA — Thermal Engineering International, USA (TEi), a leading provider of advanced heat transfer equipment, has been awarded a major contract to design, fabricate, and deliver modern, high-performance Moisture Separator Reheater (MSR) vessels for PSEG’s Salem Generating Station Units 1 and 2 in New Jersey.
PSEG has selected TEi to replace the station’s original MSRs with twelve (12) complete, custom-engineered units optimized to meet the plant’s evolving operational requirements. Each vessel will be manufactured to the highest ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1 standards, ensuring safety, reliability, and precision engineering. Major component deliveries for both units are scheduled for 2027.
This vital modernization initiative supports increased thermal duty requirements associated with PSEG’s reactor power uprate program, while addressing degradation of aging original equipment. TEi’s next-generation MSR design enhances reliability, thermal performance, and long-term durability—reinforcing Salem’s critical role in providing clean, reliable energy to the region.
