TEi Equipment Selected for New Supercritical Power Plant

Danvers, MA – Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. (TEi), located in Santa Fe Springs, CA, a subsidiary of Babcock Power Inc., based in Danvers, MA, announced today that they have been awarded a contract by Siemens Power Generation, Inc. to supply the Feedwater Heaters for Longview Power’s supercritical cycle pulverized coal-fired mine-mouth generating facility located in Maidsville, West Virginia.

TEi will supply eight Feedwater Heaters; five low pressure and three high pressure units that will significantly improve the plant’s overall heat rate, and assist in reducing overall emissions. TEi’s industry leading Feedwater Heater technology and experience with high alloy materials have allowed it to provide innovative solutions for the new supercritical boiler market. Upon its completion in the spring of 2011, Longview will generate 695MW (net) of electricity.
