Selective Catalytic Reduction System Upgrades

Riley Power Inc. can provide upgrades to any OEM’s SCR System with our proprietary Delta Wing® Technology. A Delta Wing® system typically requires six to eight large NH3 nozzles with fixed static mixing devices. Our direct ammonia injection equipment consists of manifold pipes with integral nozzles configured with its proprietary static mixing system, Delta Wing®.

Tuning and balancing of SCR systems is relatively easy, resulting in quicker startup and better load following characteristics across the full operating range. Delta Wing® technology compensates for uneven gas flow due to such abnormal conditions as burners out of service or changes in boiler load.

The process achieves “full duct” mixing for uniform NH3 and NOx distribution with Delta Wings® ammonia injection pipes, using no moving parts. This action is independent from boiler load or burners in service. Aqueous ammonia mixes with the NOx in the boiler exhaust gas in a turbulent negative pressure behind each Delta Wing®. Direct injection behind each Delta Wing® also significantly reduces the consumption of ammonia, and creates a homogeneous mixture – uniform in temperature, gas velocity, ash particle distribution, and NOx – to flow through the full width of catalyst layers.
