Cladding Technologies is now providing MPS Roll Wheel Rebuilds and RB/RP/RPS/RS/HP TYPE Journal Rebuilds as part of our expanding services to our customers. We have a fully equipped Service Center with trained and qualified specialists to perform this type of overhaul. Our Service Center is located in Duncan SC.

  • Cladding Technology maintains this comprehensive rebuild program to assist you in maintaining your plant availability and maximize the service life of your Roll Wheel or Journal Assemblies.
  • You are getting more than just a rebuilt Roll Wheel or Journal Assembly; you are getting a completely refurbished assembly in a “like new” condition.

Features/Benefits:

  • Rebuild kits are stocked for each size of MPS Roll Wheel and RB/RP/RPS/RS/HP TYPE Journal Assembly.
  • Each Roll Wheel and Journal Assembly is inspected by a technician prior to disassembly.
  • All parts are cleaned, dimensionally inspected and charted.
  • Grinding Rolls and Tires are die penetrate checked for any cracks in or around the ID bores before and after weld overlay.
  • A full detailed report is written and provided to the customer with our findings and suggestions for repair and/or replacement of parts not normally replaced.
  • Each assembly will be rebuilt to the original OEM specifications.
  • Some of the parts, such as shafts and housings, are sometimes in need of repair in areas such as bearing bores, bearing OD surfaces, or on seal surfaces. We can repair these areas to bring them back into tolerance and/or required surface finishes.
  • Roll Wheel Hubs can be repaired and re-machined to bring the OD back into specification.
  • BPS trained technicians assure the interference fit between the tire and hub on MPS Roll Wheel Assemblies.
  • We offer weld overlay for both the MPS Tires and the RB/RP/RPS/RS/HP TYPE Grinding Rolls as part of the rebuild process, eliminating the need to buy new Tires or Rolls, thus reducing your overall costs.
  • Weld overlay options for Grinding Rolls include our patented Tungsten Carbide Matrix CLAD-TECHâ„¢ process and our less expensive C100S and C200S for less abrasive wear applications.
  • During a rebuild, we replace all of the normally replaced parts such as bearings, oil seals, o-rings, shims, fasteners and miscellaneous hardware.
  • We replace the Seal Air Ring on the Roll Wheel Assemblies as a normal practice.
  • All seal air passages are checked and cleaned.
  • Each Roll Wheel and Journal Assembly is painted and filled with oil for shipping and long-term storage.
  • Every Roll Wheel and Journal Assembly is shipped to you with a full warranty on material and workmanship.
