Thermal Engineering’s Industrial Products Division designs and manufactures centrifugal compressor intercoolers and aftercoolers.

These units cool gas between and in the following stages of compression and often provide plant air, as well.

Some of the typical Applications include:

• Air separation plants
• Coal gasification plants
• Pharmaceutical plants
• Chemical plants
• Steel mills

The plate fin bundle design means extra heat transfer surface, keeping the gas side pressure drop to a minimum.

The units are built and stamped to meet ASME pressure vessel codes. Where required, integral stainless steel moisture separators, which remove up to 99.9% of free moisture from the compressed air, are installed within the shell.
